Candidate Profile

We are looking for an Account Executive to focus on the sales of online voting software solutions within the Brazilian public and the private sectors.

Working with an extended existing support team of pre-sales (solutions architects) and regional portfolio directors in the region, this position will report directly to the Management Team in Brazil, and reporting to the headquarters in Barcelona. This is a predominantly self-autonomous and challenging role that requires the right candidate to show ownership, enthusiasm, professionalism and an entrepreneurial spirit towards business. This is a role which requires frequent travelling within the country.

The role would suit someone who is currently in a commercial role, selling software solutions/services into the Brazilian market place in the public and private sectors. Knowledge and understanding of the sales cycle/process of procurement in central and local government within Brazil will be key to succeed in this role.

The experience required for the position is 2-3 years with in-depth knowledge of the sales profession: developing business and closing directly with customers, partner qualification, management and tender process bidding.

You must be comfortable making dozens of calls per day, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales.

Location: Brasilia

This position will be office based and will require extensive travelling throughout Brazil, as well as punctual travelling to other countries (i.e. Spain, to attend to corporate trainings).

Responsibilities

  • Help create and execute the regional strategy sales plan.
  • Develop and evolve sales pipeline
  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
  • Regularly call possible customers to offer online voting solutions
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
  • Perform effective online demos to prospects
  • Strong phone presence and experience dialing dozens of calls per day
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Effectively team work with the rest of the management team.
  • Attend customer sites and regional events to promote the products/services.
  • Gather market knowledge and work with key stakeholders to maximize conversion of opportunities.
  • Secure and close deals through partners, where necessary to gain business.
  • Report regularly on sales pipeline and current opportunities.

Requirements

  • The experience required for the position is 2-3 years.
  • Native Portuguese (or equivalent) and intermediary excellent English are a must. Additional languages, preferably Spanish, will be a valuable plus.
  • Proven commercial ability in the public and private sectors.
  • First-hand knowledge selling Software solutions and services, preferably mission critical ones.
  • Technical software engineer skills will be a valuable plus.
  • Eagerness to learn as well as a strong winning attitude.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels externally (users to c-level) and internally.
